How interesting. Everyone I've had conversations with over the past few days since I launched sBlogIt! think that it's like YourAI and you just create content and take it away to use on your website and social ...

Sblogit! Soaring high, Through the digital landscape, Words take flight with ease

Sblogit! Soaring high, Through the digital landscape, Words take flight with ease

I guess that's because they're all business owners and are used to piling everything into the blog on their website. But sBlogIt! is so much more than that, it's a blogging platform in its own right.

I was chatting to one of my YourPCM
subscribers on Zoom earlier

He's signed up for sBlogIt! and was talking about creating stuff then dropping it into the blog on his website. "But it's such a pain in the butt to do" he moaned, "And then I have to upload the image, and goodness knows how I'd make an audio work in there!" at which point my ears pricked up and I suggested he may want to use his sBlogIt! blog as his actual blog.

His first objection was about the domain name he got when he signed up. "Not a problem" I said, "It could easily be changed to yourname.sblogit.com if you'd like?". I could see the word "Meh!" floating across his mind. "What's up?" I asked.

He told me that as a web designer, he always believed that everything has to be contained within his website, but he really wanted the sBlogIt! social tools to work so how could he do it? "Easy!" I said, "Let's configure your sBlogIt! blog to be called blog.yourdomain.com! That way you get all the benefits of working on this platform, your blog posts will look great, and all the Google juice the blog generates will help your website because they're both within the same domain!"

And that's what we did. I switched his domain name, attached his subdomain to one of my server's other SSL certificates and he added a new A record to his DNS to point at my server. Two minutes later his new blog was responding inside his domain. He said he would modify his menu so that clicking 'blog' inside his website would open his sBlogIt! blog in a new tab and his old 'blog' would become an archive.

"Don't forget you can get sBlogIt! to rewrite all your old blog posts, so you can have another bite of the cherry with them!" I reminded him. "Just paste in the URLs!" He was very happy about that and went off to make some changes to his website.

So there you go!

You don't have to use sBlogIt! just to create content you take away and put on your website or social. Use the full range of features and actually build a blog on this platform. And if you don't like the domain name?

Well, as we're in beta release right now, I'll change it to whatever you want for free.

Until next time ...

About Steffi Lewis ...

Steffi Lewis

Based in the charming village of Hanslope in Buckinghamshire, UK, I bring over 30 years of experience in web development. From creating my first website for the Open University in 1993, through being part of the dot com boom, to my explorations in SaaS and AI over the last few years, my journey has been a rich tapestry of web projects, big and small, both funded and bootstrapped.

Originally developed during the pandemic, at the start of 2025, I released the next iteration of YourPCM, version 2, which is all about 'Easy Contact Management for Small Business Owners'. Is it a CRM? Yes, but I don't call it that because people glaze over at the mention of such things. CRMs are boring, difficult to get to grips with, and it's a nightmare to get help when you need it.

YourPCM is none of those things! It's simple to use, well-supported, feature rich and beautiful, right out of the box. It's available on a simple monthly subscription with no long-term tie-in. Book a demo or grab your own 14-working-day free trial and discover why YourPCM is all about easy contact management for small business owners.

My head is in the cloud, my heart belongs to the web, and my soul is filled with such beautiful code 💗
