I Just Had My Birthday! So What's Next In The World Of Steffi Lewis?

It's always interesting when I reach another birthday. Or maybe I should say "yet another birthday" because there have been lots of them now I'm 57. Yes, getting old, but I'm still young at heart, doing what I love to do and writing beautiful code. However, after launching sBlogIt! recently the coding girl needs time to recharge ...

At the moment, I'm in a little hiatus as I've just finished a major project and I'm thinking about the next one. sBlogIt! meant all my free time dedicated to coding since the start of 2024 and I managed to get it finished way ahead of schedule. I thought it would be done by September and it was actually finished by June.

So I take heart that I can slow
down for a while!

I'm going to let the coder-girl relax for a while and let the entrepreneur out of her box for the next couple of months. I'm currently churning over what I want to do for Version 2 of YourPCM and have been asking my subscribers what they want. But those ideas will stay in the back of my mind and will eventually burst out of my brain as fully formed plans with demands to be created. Not for a while though.

sBlogIt! meant a whole new design, structure and layout and I want to modernise the YourPCM interface to bring it up to date as it is 4 years old now. In addition, there'll be a mobile version that will be limited in functionality, but still very usable (ie: you won't be able to send mailers with it, but can look up a contact and scan a business card).

The Mailers module needs a good
overhaul though!

Although it works well and gets messages into inboxes, I need to tweak the editor to the one I use in sBlogIt! (mostly for consistency) and think about sequence email so someone signs up on a website then it'll send them a sequence of emails over several weeks until they either become customers or unsubscribe. Not sure right now what logic needs to go in that so I'll keep churning it over.

I'm targeting an August start to begin on YourPCM v2 and I've had a few ideas for some new functionality for sBlogIt! after that, especially when Open AI released SORA and DALL-E v4 later this year as both will need to be built into sBlogIt!

So, a few months just enjoying networking, marketing, and being an entrepreneur while I think about YourPCM v2 and some upgrades for sBlogIt! But as always, whatever hat I'm wearing my subscribers and users will get the best possible help and assistance when they need it.

Enjoy the summer kids ... I'm going to relax in the sunshine more.

Until next time ...

About Steffi Lewis ...

Steffi Lewis

Based in the charming village of Hanslope in Buckinghamshire, UK, I bring over 30 years of experience in web development. From creating my first website for the Open University in 1993, through being part of the dot com boom, to my explorations in SaaS and AI over the last few years, my journey has been a rich tapestry of web projects, big and small, both funded and bootstrapped.

Originally developed during the pandemic, at the start of 2025, I released the next iteration of YourPCM, version 2, which is all about 'Easy Contact Management for Small Business Owners'. Is it a CRM? Yes, but I don't call it that because people glaze over at the mention of such things. CRMs are boring, difficult to get to grips with, and it's a nightmare to get help when you need it.

YourPCM is none of those things! It's simple to use, well-supported, feature rich and beautiful, right out of the box. It's available on a simple monthly subscription with no long-term tie-in. Book a demo or grab your own 14-working-day free trial and discover why YourPCM is all about easy contact management for small business owners.

My head is in the cloud, my heart belongs to the web, and my soul is filled with such beautiful code 💗
