Turning coffee into code since 1993 ...

Time for a bit of coding, m'thinks; the YourPCM feature request list is calling!

#sBlogIt #coding #MatrixUnplugged #beautifulcode #engaged

Apart from a few small tweaks to sBlogIt! recently, I haven't really engaged with coding for the past few months. Even as someone whose entire purpose in life is to write beautiful code, sometimes you just have to unplug yourself from the Matrix ...

Coding is a dance, Fingers tapping on keys bright, Creating magic

Coding is a dance, Fingers tapping on keys bright, Creating magic

But that's ok, I've had plenty of other things to keep myself busy. I recently emailed my YourPCM subscribers and asked them what they'd like to add or change. Here's the list of requests, as well as a few fixes I need to do:

  • The ability to move just a number of contacts from one section to a new section. This could be the first X contacts or a random selection. I can certainly see why a few subscribers would want this.
  • In the daily redlist email, adding the choice of what you want to receive. So we can choose when to receive it, but the subscriber will always get birthdays, tagged, last contact and next contact. A couple of subscribers asked my to let them decide what they want to receive. Good idea!
  • TagEmail & TagSMS are not constrained to just the contacts being tagged by the subscriber. Something a little weird is happening and other contacts are being processed as well. That is a necessary fix.
  • In the Mailers module, the numbers shown for Opened, Clicked, Unsubscribed, and Undelivered appear to be fabricated by our AI. This is a bit weird as they work when testing, so I need to take a look at this. Oh, and they don't match up with the numbers in the Database module either. Strange indeed.

But these are all easily remedied issues and I'm really pleased that YourPCM is being so robust. Subscribers log in, use it, log out again at the end of the day; and this pleases me. If they have any questions, they speak to my support chatbot Aimee, and only if she can't help will they reach out to me.

I designed YourPCM to be a minimal input
platform for me, and it just works!

One thing I am going to do with the AI module in YourPCM is update it to the latest models for writing, audios, images etc. OpenAI has come a long way, and I think my AI module needs to reflect that with a more flexible approach.

And I'm also thinking about putting chatbots back in. A few of my subscribers are web designers, and I know the ability to add a chatbot to their own clients' websites with just a single line of code would be really useful for them. This will help me with my work on YourECHO as well.

Anyway ... a good solid Summer project is starting this weekend. Fixes first, then new features, then updates to the AI module. It should keep me busy for a few months before I move on to my third SaaS product, YourECHO, which is already 80% done, but needs a bit of refinement.

Your digital pal that thinks it's you? What could possibly go wrong?!

Love, light & logic ...

About Steffi Lewis ...

Steffi Lewis

Based in the charming village of Hanslope in Buckinghamshire, UK, I bring over 30 years of experience in web development. From creating my first website for the Open University in 1993, through being part of the dot com boom, to my explorations in SaaS and AI over the last few years, my journey has been a rich tapestry of web projects, big and small, both funded and bootstrapped.

Originally developed during the pandemic, at the start of 2025, I released the next iteration of YourPCM, version 2, which is all about 'Easy Contact Management for Small Business Owners'. Is it a CRM? Yes, but I don't call it that because people glaze over at the mention of such things. CRMs are boring, difficult to get to grips with, and it's a nightmare to get help when you need it.

YourPCM is none of those things! It's simple to use, well-supported, feature rich and beautiful, right out of the box. It's available on a simple monthly subscription with no long-term tie-in. Book a demo or grab your own 14-working-day free trial and discover why YourPCM is all about easy contact management for small business owners.

My head is in the cloud, my heart belongs to the web, and my soul is filled with such beautiful code 💗
