I've just finished my invoicing this month and am very happy to see a few of my clients have pretty much paid their bills immediately! That's a cool way of working isn't it? Send a PDF email, get notification back that they've just done a bank transfer? I love the Internet! But it wasn't all love, light and logic last month ...

Although that makes me really happy and motivated, and shows me that sblogit.com is a money-making machine, it was a bit of a dark October in the secret underground bunker. Loosing a close friend and important member of my team near the end of September made me rethink our strategy and I had to do a bit of soul searching as to whether I wanted to continue with the sblogit.com project. Why wouldn't I? It would be silly not to! It's just going to take a lot more effort now. But I was certainly 50/50 about it all for a while. It was quite hard to take.
I guess, like all human beings, entrepreneurs are allowed to be glum, but the difference is that we need to get back on the horse and start riding as soon as possible. Conveniently for me, I've had a lot of programming to do on the sblogit.com back-end systems and of course have been editing blog posts for our clients. It certainly takes your mind off things, and I find I can focus and concentrate a lot better afterwards.
And there's a lot more awesome stuff to come. This month we're launching blogs for an Accountant, a firm of Solicitors, an IFA, a PAT Tester, a Relationship Counsellor and an IT support specialist so things are getting really busy and, as far as I'm concerned, it can only get better and better as we move towards Christmas and ultimately the end of our first financial year in February 2012.
My friend Pip Thomas blogged recently that the way to deal with stress is to make more time for yourself - so on that note, I'm off up to CMK for a coffee and a sandwich in this lovely sunshine and will be enjoying the delights of Terry Pratchett's latest book ...
